On September 7th, the landmark project of "Belt and Road Initiative" jointly constructed by China and Indonesia, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, started operation. The important leaders of both countries witnessed this important moment of epoch-making significance. On the day before the operation, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, who was visiting Indonesia, inspected the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project with Luhut Pandjaitan, the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment and Budi Karya Sumadi, the Minister of Transportation, expressing appreciation for the efforts made by the builders of both countries!

The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia. It connects the Indonesian capital Jakarta with the tourist city of Bandung. The total length of the line is 142.3 kilometers. After the operation, the travel time will be reduced from 3 hours to 40 minutes, greatly improving local transportation conditions and injecting strong momentum into Indonesia's economic development.

Chinese Companies Tell New Stories of Overseas Construction

As the first Chinese high-speed railway project overseas, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway has successfully showcased China's new business card in the world, vividly telling the new story of Chinese companies' overseas construction under the "Belt and Road Initiative."

The entire Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway adopts Chinese technology and standards. The railway section covers complex geological conditions such as volcanoes, landslides, reservoir collapses, and active fault zones, making the construction extremely difficult. Chinese railway builders, relying on their independent innovation capabilities and multiple technological breakthroughs, solved major technical difficulties such as large deformation and collapse of tunnels, and successfully delivered the "Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway" after five years of construction.

IFE Elevator undertook the escalator equipment project for the Padalarang Station and Dekarur Station of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway.
